AGL Video Game Character Draft – Tyrants Draft Shepard

com_shepard_draft

The Raccoon City Tyrants have taken Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect trilogy as the second overall pick in the AGL Video Game Character Draft.

Commander Shepard is the first human ever to join the Spectres. He commands the SSV Normandy. He has consistently proven himself a leader and has saved the galaxy on many occasions. He’s even died and come back to life, once.

When asked about becoming the second overall pick, he had this to say to the rest of the league, “I hope you’re up for some competition.”

Attaboy, Shepard.

Mass Effect Getting Trilogy Compilation Treatment

Mass Effect Trilogy

Bioware announced on the official Mass Effect page that Mass Effect will be getting a trilogy collection for Xbox 360 and PC on November 6th with a PS3 version to follow at a later date.

The trilogy package will include all three Mass Effect games and DLC packaged in a foil box decorated with snazzy custom artwork for $59.99.

This will obviously be the first chance for PS3 owners to play the formerly Xbox 360 exclusive (for consoles) Mass Effect. Unfortunately, you just have to wait a little bit longer for an unspecified date. If you don’t want to dip into the trilogy compilation just for the original Mass Effect on PS3, it is confirmed as a PSN download for $14.99 and it will be available the same day as the compilation.

Here are the details:

Amazing Mass Effect Tribute Song by Malukah

Mass Effect 3

Judith De Los Santos, aka Malukah, has done it again. She has done several video game songs and covers over the last few months, gaining more and more fans with each one. Her Skyrim covers are still the most popular, but this Mass Effect tribute song is hauntingly beautiful. A few different themes from the Mass Effect series were used when making it.

I still listen to her cover of The Dragonborn Comes on a regular basis, and this song will quickly find its way into my rotation. Sit back and enjoy.

Tastiest Upcoming Game Plots – Hakuoki Versus Mass Effect 3

Hakuoki and ME3 Plots
The full title would be ‘Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom’ for the PSP versus ‘Mass Effect 3′ for the PC! Which story is yet another reason for you to buy the game or leave it unseen on the store shelves? There hasn’t been much released on either game plot, but let’s take a look anyway. There might be something there.
Hakuoki is a game of the otome genre, but what is an ‘otome game’, you ask? Simply put, it’s a videogame where a female protagonist can develop a romance among several male characters. That’s just what happens as you control Chizuru, the protagonist of Hakuoki, as she searches for her lost father but ends up with the famed Shinsengumi. They happen to be looking for her dear old dad as well, because said father invented an elixir that turns people into vampire-like monsters, and it may turn out to be rather useful for these peacekeepers. Of course there has to be a dangerous side to the elixir, which constantly horns in as Chizuru gets to know her prospective love interests.

Buy Battlefield 3, Unlock Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Demo

Mass Effect 3

If you’re a fan of Mass Effect, you probably won’t need a campaign demo to push you over the edge for the third installment.  But hey, it’s there.  And it will be there pre-release this January.  Something however that may interest you as a fan is that the multiplayer will also be available in demo form.  Catch? Buy Battlefield 3 and get the code to unlock it.  If you’re also a Battlefield fan, this is a win-win for you.

Don’t want to buy a $60 title just to see a bit of multiplayer experience on a game you will probably be buying anyway? There’s still hope, but it’s a mystery.

Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War Features Multiplayer Co-op UPDATED

Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War Multiplayer

Mass Effect 3′s multiplayer is the universe’s worst kept secret. Equip your panic bullets and prepare for the Cerberus Network to crack in half. Mass Effect 3 is confirmed to have at the very least, four player co-op missions by Chris Priestly on Bioware’s forum.

As mentioned by Casey on Twitter, we are confirming that there will be 4 player Co-op multiplayer missions for Mass Effect 3. We will have more details on this feature on Wednesday when the announcement was supposed to be made.

I know the immediate reaction by some is to panic and think of how this will ruin the Mass Effect series or whatever. PLEASE do not over react or assume the worst until you actually hear details on this feature and how it will work. I will try to get approval to give you details so you can make up your minds with the correct details. Marketing’s plan was to announce on Wednesday, but I’ll see if I can speed this up.

So, until you learn the details, I urge people to have cautious optimism or wary negativity until you get the real details. Thanks everyone. Stay tuned.

For a good time, read the responses on Bioware’s forum.
